Our development process is designed to ensure your website is built to meet your exact needs and exceed your expectations. We take you through each stage, from initial consultation to final launch, with clear communication and expert execution at every step.

1. Discovery

We start with a free consultation to understand your needs, goals, and vision for your website. This begins with you emailing us, describing your pain points, and then meeting with us virtually.

After our initial meeting, our team creates a comprehensive plan, including a sitemap and, if necessary, wireframes, to lay the groundwork for your project.

We call this our Discovery Phase because we're finding out if Zealous Sites will be a good fit for your project.

2. Design

Using Figma, we design a visually stunning and user-friendly website that reflects your brand and engages your audience.

Depending on the project, we can design each page in detail or take a more modular approach to ensure flexibility and scalability. This decision will be made during the Discovery Phase when we're writing the scope and estimate.

Your design will be crafted with a conversion-first mindset while remaining stunning and on-brand.

3. Development

Using the latest technologies and best practices, we develop your website with clean, efficient code. We specialize in building WordPress child themes, particularly using Divi.

By utilizing a page builder as robust as Divi, we can scale a website from a few simple pages to a complex site for a multi-million dollar corporation and everything in between.

4. Deploy

Once your website is ready, we handle the entire launching process to ensure a smooth transition. While we don't require you to use specific hosting, we recommend Valley-Technologies for reliable and secure hosting services that offer peace of mind.

After launch, we offer a 2-week QA period: if you find anything not quite right within this period, we will fix it, no questions asked, for free.

Our only real requirement is that your hosting provider can support modern WordPress and the Divi theme. A: The Discovery Phase is our initial consultation and planning stage where we understand your needs, goals, and vision for your website. We create a comprehensive plan, including a sitemap and wireframes if necessary.

Q: How does your design process work?
A: Using Figma, we design a visually stunning and user-friendly website. Depending on the project, we can design each page in detail or take a more modular approach to ensure flexibility and scalability. A modular approach means we'd design the homepage and then some specific modules that may be used on other interior pages as needed. We then use these to stack additional pages while keeping within the site guidelines we built.

Q: What happens after my website is launched?
A: After the launch, we offer a 2-week QA period. If you find anything not quite right within this period, we will fix it, no questions asked, for free. Truthfully, our customers rarely need to take us up on this as we do our best to ensure everything is perfect before launch. 

Q: Do you provide ongoing website maintenance?
A: Yes, we offer ongoing website maintenance and updates to keep your site running smoothly and securely. If you'd like us to maintain different aspects of your website, you could hire us on a retainer to build new content or manage updates on a monthly basis. If you'd prefer to just have us jump in every few months, simply reach out and we'd happily jump in to make sure everything is up to snuff for our hourly rate. 

Q: Do you offer monthly retainers?
A. Yes, absolutely! Our monthly retainers work by you choosing how many hours you'd like to retain us for a set amount of months. The more hours you agree to, the cheaper the hourly rate is. These hours do not rollover from month to month and are not refundable. Please mention you'd like to discuss a retainer when speaking with me and I'd be happy to send you over our most up-to-date pricing. 

Q: Can I manage my website content after it’s built?
A: Absolutely! We build our websites to be user-editable, giving you the freedom to manage your content easily. We also provide WordPress training and support as needed. In addition, since our websites are typically built as child themes of Divi, you can browse the entire Divi Documentation database for a plethora of how-to videos and write-ups on different modules. 

Q: How long does it take to build a website?
A: The timeline for building a website varies depending on the project’s complexity and scope. During the Discovery Phase, we provide a detailed timeline and keep you informed throughout the process. On average, a website build from start to finish is 6 to 8 weeks. I've seen this done as fast as 2 weeks (with a rush fee) or take as long as a year if content acquisition or final VIP approval proves difficult.
