What’s the big deal about full width backgrounds? Why do you see them popping up all over the place? Full width backgrounds are nothing new. They are just now starting to gain more traction with modern tech.

In the past to get a full width background you would need to go through a mess of code and hope that your end-user’s internet connection was quick enough to keep up. Now, you can get a full width background with just quick line of code. Chris Coyier says it best in his article on CSS-Tricks.com
